Located in Iredell County, Mooresville is a suburban community of 33,500. Currently, Lake Norman High School’s student population is 1860, grades 9-12. Mooresville’s surge in population can be attributed to the presence of NASCAR, proximity to Lake Norman and large cities, and the expansion/relocation of many large companies. Lake Norman High School offers numerous opportunities for all students to become involved: Student Council/Student Government Yearbook Staff School and Community Service Opportunities Performing Arts and Music Varsity and Junior Varsity Interscholastic Sports Teams Clubs Faculty Lake Norman High School has a professional staff of 114 members. Forty-six of those faculty members hold Master’s Degrees. Counseling The Guidance and Counseling Department at Lake Norman High School is comprised of four counselors and a Student Assistance Counselor. The Guidance Office provides a comprehensive counseling program for students grades 9-12 that focuses on students’ academic, career, and personal/social needs. Counselors conduct individual as well as group counseling sessions. With nearly 92% of each graduating class pursuing post-secondary education, counselors are responsible for working with students on planning for and applying to college.
