Classroom and Study Tactics People not only learn at different rates, but also in different ways. Each person has to find his or her own style and use it to learn new things. Thinking about what you do when to have to learn something new, how do you learn? You probably approach the task in a similar manner each time. You build a pattern to use for new learning. There are 3 basic learning styles visual learning, auditory learning, and kinesthetic learning. Each has its own distinct characteristics. It is important to remember that each individual has his or her own unique learning style. . V isual learners are common and good study habits begin with finding a way to incorporate visual learning into classwork. Some of the study tips that I have used for being a visual learner has been concept maps, outline, graphs, and color coding. Concept maps help graphically organize ideas. This is a great visual learning tool because it lets you see how concepts relate to each other. The traditional outline is also a useful tool. Simply indenting
