Lab Report Title: Effects of Acidifications on Shells (1) -Date experiment was performed: August 25, 2017 Purpose: The purpose of this lab is to understand the relationship between air pollution and acidification on the ocean. And to also understand the mechanism of decreasing ocean pH. Data and Observations: First observation with the petri dish with shells and hydrochloric acid (0-2 on pH scale) is it was creating small bubbles around shells this happened as soon as the hydrochloric acid was added. First observation on petri dish with shells and vinegar (2 on pH scale) is no visual change upon the addition of vinegar but after 5 minutes bubbles start to appear around the petri dish with
