Cerebral Structural Features: Gyri – Elevated ridges “winding” around the brain. Sulci – Small grooves dividing the gyri. Central Sulcus Divides the Frontal Lobe from the Parietal Lobe. Fissures – Deep grooves, generally dividing large regions/lobes of the brain. Transverse Fissure Separates the Cerebrum from the Cerebellum. Lateral/Sylvian Fissure Divides the Temporal Lobe from the Frontal and Parietal Lobes Longitudinal Fissure Separates the left and right hemispheres.

Frontal Lobe - Cortical Regions Orbitofrontal Cortex – Site of Frontal Lobotomies Primary Motor Cortex (Precentral Gyrus) – Cortical site that plans and executes movements of the body . The cerebellum contributes to coordination , precision, and accurate timing of those movements Broca’s Area Controls facial neurons, speech, and language comprehension. Located on Left Frontal Lobe.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
