Duhan 1 April 17, 2015 Case Study #1 Chapter 11: Baby steps toward scrum: How Babycenter.com made the cultural transition to agile software development Summary: This case study is about babycenter.com, a website engaging tools for parents. This case study is all about the changes in Babycenter.com to become a better website. 11-21. Describe the previous software development process at Babycenter.com The previous software development process at Babycenter.com consisted of teams that were understaffed (three people) spending most of their times fixing problems of the previous website instead of working and developing new features for the website. They were also in a chaotic development environment. The previous software used the waterfall method in which the life cycle tasks occur sequentially. However, the use of the waterfall method was frustrated by a lot of delays. All of that explain why babycenter.com needed to change its software.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
