In Scott McCloud’s Understanding Comics, the message he is trying to get across to his audience is a part of a deeper realm of thought than that of most comics you may encounter in today’s world. As I read through the comics I felt like I could relate to what the illustrator was conveying at a higher level because of the style of illustrations. As was said in the comics, the simpler the comic, the more we see ourselves in the world which is being brought to life by our own consciousnesses. The more I read, the more I was intrigued and interested in what I was understanding. Every line I read brought about a different way to look at the illustration world.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
