TD 301 – November 07, 2007 Spotlight on Theatrical Labor II Designers, Choreographers, Dramaturgs, and Actors - Test Frida, Bring your UT ID and #2 pencil - Review sessions: Tonight, 5:15-6:15 pm, Winship 2.112 Tomorrow (Thursday), 7-8 pm, Winship 2.112 What is on the test? Anything covered in 2 nd unit – any reading assignments in the packet (no questions directed on the Lesbian and Gay article) Reminder! We keep working on grading as we go. Even with quizzes/tests, allow several days before emailing about posted grades. With other assignments, of course check in when you’re worried but never panic. Designers: Some Types - Sets : flats (a free standing wall that can form a fake backdrop) Set designer – responsible for anything physically on stage (other than props, but work with prop designer) - Lighting : Responsible for making sure everyone is seen, and helping the set/prop/costume designer create the world (“mood”) of the play Grid lights – lights above stage House lights – lights above audience - Sound : (music, Foley artist, etc) – in charge of any back tracks or underlying sound.
