Surname 1 Student Name: Professor: Subject: Sociology Date: The 8 step Process in Dana’s article 2007 About Gay Men The 8 steps by the author are meant to analyze the strategy adopted by Dana (2007) in coming up with the research about the parenthood roles of gay men. The methods are not directly outlined in the research paper but the assessment of the report will determine if the 8-step process was duly followed. The 8 steps are summarily the topic selection, problem definition, then a review of the literature by the author of the research, the fourth step in the process is formulating a hypothesis after which a research method is selected, data is collecting for the research, the results analyzed and finally, the outcome is shared. There are the 8 steps that will be used to analyze Dana’s report. The first step was achieved since the topic was selected, the topic, in this case, was the to study about gay men and their parenting roles in procreation, fatherhood and family identity.
