The 11 th Hour The environment will survive global warming—it’s the people that will not. The biosphere is in trouble, it is sick; the earth’s crust has an infection that needs to be addressed. As humans destroy nature, we are ultimately destroying ourselves. Global warming is severely affecting the Earth and every day, and if nothing is done about to prevent it, it will ultimately lead to the Earth’s demise. The human mind has thrown us out of balance with the rest of nature. Today’s culture is built around the fact that humans are separate from nature but that is incorrect, humans are part of nature. This common notion became prevalent after the industrial revolution, when nature became viewed as merely a resource. Very few countries have even considered the environments issues because society is too focused on solely the economy. The main problem why environmental issues are hard to address is because economy is set up to grow. Over the last few years we have experienced the highest average temperature on record.
