ETHICS IN PSYCHOLOGY 2Milgram Experiment is to understand how the Germans can permit the extermination ofthe Jewish people. How can the Germans go against their morals to kill a human being?Obedience is the logical answer to this question. The power of the situation over the people.(HeroicImaginationTV, 2011) In Milgram experiment, he uses an electronic box that would opena window to human cruelty. In numerical order, a row of buttons marked amount of voltage oneperson to inflict to one another. The teacher would ask a question to the participant. If theparticipant gets the question right nothing will happen, but get the question wrong the teachershocks the participant. The teacher thinks the participate is getting shock, but in reality theparticipate is only acting like he or she is being shocked. Each time the participant gets aquestion wrong the voltage goes up. Some teachers refuses to continue after the participate sayhe or she wished to stop because of the pain, but most of the teachers continue with theexperiment.
