COMPANY RISK ASSESSMENT 2 Staples Company is one of the numerous multinational companies headquartered in the United States. The firm was instituted by Tom Stemberg in 1986 at a very youthful age (Ellis, 2017). The company trades in a number of products across the world which includes business machines, office equipment, technology items, and other major business services. The organization has over 90,000 workers globally. The firm has had tremendous series of operations such as business acquisitions which first occurred in 1993 with 42 percent ownership of a Business Depot and later after a year Staples acquired the entire 100 percent of stake. Ellis outlines that Staples company enjoyed a rise in revenue of her operations which were attributed to the fact that it was running 500 companies and attachment to the “corporate express” (2017). The paper discusses the principal external trend of political factors influencing Staples and the strength of Staples Company tagged on three business sections of retail as well as international business and delivery of her products (Troy, 2006). The paper further postulates possible recommendation actions that could help in alleviating some of the dangers Staples Company could be facing in the business environment so as to spur her levels of achievements. The aspect of a political factor is a broad area that largely influences the operations of a given business organization and the magnitude of business rewards. The principal areas surrounding political factors include taxation policies, influence from state-owned firms, laws of environmental protection, and the establishment of antitrust enforcement by the government.
