How did you deal with that experience? How did you find comfort in the midst of suffering? My mother is an in home occupational therapist. When I was really young she would take me to a patients house of hers regularly. The lady was very old, who had a lot of problems getting around by her self because of a stroke she experienced, which is why my mother was assigned to her. She fell in love with me, every time I went over she would either give me something of hers or money or trinkets. Eventually as I got older one day she passed. It was the first death I experienced that was someone I actually saw on the regular and it hit me very hard. The day I found out I cried really hard and even prayed and asked God why he would take such a wonderful person out of my life. I played the piano regularly as well as a child, so I found comfort in finding out that just before she died she asked my mother to make sure I played a song that she loved me to play on the organ at her funeral. It made so entirely grateful and happy that she had requested something so wonderful of me to do for her. By doing this action for her it gaveme the closure I needed to come to the relaxation that she was gone and I had to accept that or it would make me sad forever. I will always remember her and her kindness.
