I think you will find it very interesting, particularly in terms of the challenges and opportunities it presents for the United States. •What surprised you? Concerned you? What concerned me most was the fact that ninety percent of the parts for the iPhone are made outside of the country. It surprised me that only the processor is made in the United States. It also surprised me that we, as a country have been aspects of assembly to other countries, as far back as the 1960’s. That is a concern because of the simple fact that manufacturing and assembly lines were started here in the US. Does that mean that we have evolved into more of the intellectual jobs in this country, or that general labor jobs have diminished here? Then what about all of the technological jobs that we outsource? •Is Globalization a positive development for society? Globalization is not a positive development for our society.
