Declaration of independence, Constitution & Danbury Letter2The United States Constitution, Declaration of Independence share many similarities and probably the same amount of differences. The Unites States Constitution was written on 17 September 1787 and the Declaration of Independence was written on 4 July 1776, the dates hold no significance at that time, but the Declaration was written first. This shows that out of the threethe Declaration of Independence was written first, and with that being said was most important. Usually documents written and signed first becomes more important just because of its order in time and the fact that the first implementation is always harder to break away from. A little whileafter these documents were written, Thomas Jefferson wrote the letter to the Danbury Baptist in 1802. The Declaration of Independence in its writings references God many times throughout thepiece, however the other documents purposes are to keep church and state apart and separate.The Declaration of Independence is comprised of issues against the Baptist government, in which the objective was to start an isolated government for the 13 colonies. It unified the colonies and provided rationalization for involvement by future associates such as France. It was written by Thomas Jefferson who sent it to Congress at which time congress decided to implement the writing. It shares a list of criticisms against England’s prime minister who held little regards for the rights of the United States citizens. It stated, “In every stage of these
