Identify the issue, the premise(s) and the conclusion in the following statement: We need to make clear that sexual preference, whether chosen or genetically determined, is a private matter. It has nothing to do with an individual’s ability to make a positive contribution to society. Issue : Does sexual preference affect an individual’s ability to make a positive contribution to society? Premise : I think the premise is “sexual preference is a private matter” because it is giving the reason why sexual preference doesn’t have anything to do with an individuals ability to contribute to society. Conclusion : The conclusion would be “It has nothing to do with an individual’s ability to make a positive contribution to society” because that is the position the person is taking when addressing the issue. They believe sexual preference has nothing to do with one’s contribution to society. 2. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
