Alyssa Garcia October 10, 2007 Unit application 1 Calculus 408K: calculus is required for my degree plan and it is very important that I do well in it. Step one: Set a useful goal. l I want to earn an A on my next calculus test on October 30 th . Step two: Reflect. l I am nervous about this test because I made a 60 on the last test. l I know that the test will be similar to the homework type questions. l I feel that I will be better prepared for this test because I wasn’t last test. l I need to review the material more because it will be cumulative. l I usually wait till the night before to re-work homework problems. l I have the attitude and motivation to do better. Step three: Brainstorm. l Re-work all of the problems on the homework multiple times until I understand the type of question. l Read the corresponding chapters in the calculus text book. l Organize my time and plan on how much time I will set aside specifically for calculus. l
