Summary Chanda has a dream about a storm about her mom and Iris and Soly playing tag. A storm is coming and Soly and Iris get lost in the tall grass. Esther yells "CHANDA" and Chanda wakes up. Chanda goes to Tiro because her ancestors sent her a dream and if she doesn't get to Tiro something terrible is going to happen. Chanda goes to Mr. Kamwendo's store. She has a nightmare about General Mandiki. Mr. Lesole was attacked by poachers and got beat up. Chanda, Iris and Soly are going back to Bonang. Chanda has to find her cellphone. Chanda tries to warn Tiro but Nelson blocks her. Tiro soldiers were blown up and villagers were hiding. Chanda follows a trail looking

Nelson loses the rebels trails and Chanda and Nelson walk through the muddy water. Chanda and Nelson trek through the woodland. Nelson's plan is use his slingshot to kill Mandiki. Chanda and Nelson run all night and far from the rebels. Since Mandiki's death the south road is being reopened. Chanda and the children are going back to Bonang. Mr. Lesole is back from the hospital and Chanda, Iris and Soly are finally back at school. The life lesson I learned from this book is don't listen to what other people tell you and never give up....
