Marketing 2 Introduction The study of Dell’s market research and analysis is very important because it helps us to know how Dell’s has been able to recuperate and control its supply chain and logistics activities for a long time as compared to its competitors. The company has proved its effort through direct sale model, high manufacturing effectiveness and inventory control which has amazed a lot of technology companies. It has helped these companies to prevent market breakdown through its intelligence on dealing with the lean manufacture in a very indecisive technology market ("Dell: Video Transcript"). Dell’s chain supply and logistic innovations as compared to its competitors Through this video, Dell can be easily described as an example of a successful manufacturing model. However, other technology companies that have been striving for success are still searching for the intelligence of Dell and how it has been a leading manufacturer of computers in a very hesitant and competitive market in the world. According to Dell’s executives, the company has been curious about inventory as they believe that the faster they turn inventory, its costs reduce. For instance, the company has been carrying inventory for about seven to eight days which tallies to approximately fifty turns annually as compared to its competitors such as IBM, Hewlett Packard, and Compaq which deal with a roughly three to four weeks of their inventory. Therefore, the approach by Dell which has been very important in its reduced inventory cost and has further set a standard platform in apotheosis over inventory and manufacture.
