QUALITY OF HEALTHCARE2Quality in HealthcarePatients’ satisfaction has always been the main objective of most healthcares around the world. The quality of services offered in healthcare is not only important to the patient but also tothe society. The methods that a healthcare use in order to deliver the care services plays a major role in the number of patients they are expected to receive in a day (Donelan, 2017). The existingnursing model has been seen to use a lot of funds hence it need to be reexamined in order to improve the quality offered. The paper will look at the weaknesses in the present health care management system, the current nursing model as well as the strategies to use in order to eliminate these pitfalls. An important goal in the medical field has been to quantify and improve the quality offered in healthcare. Adhering to the principles laid out by the ministry of health, improves a hospitals performance (Berwick, 2017). As these principles outline what steps to be followed andwhich need to be done away with. Statistics have shown that patients’ dissatisfaction has been a major challenge in most healthcares. There is a need to look into the problem and address it. Most of the complaints by the patients involve poor quality of care. The workers normal day-to-day performance of duties became the major cause of this problem as this hinders better worker-patient interaction (Folland,2016).Quality measurement in healthcareIn order to deal with the problem of patient dissatisfaction it is important to conductquality measurement procedure. This platform of patient-care quality measurement is wide, though there are various tools and methodologies that can help through the evaluation process(Taylor, 2013). There are various external and internal factors that are looked to in order to
QUALITY IN HEALTHCARE3determine the quality of care offered in a certain healthcare. There are various measurementmodels that can be used. The first model involves looking into the structure, process, andmeasuring the outcome. The second model involves conducting a survey and peer review inorder to determine the quality of care in a certain medical care.Starting structure measurement in a hospital creates value to the hospital, increaseefficiency and in turn makes the hospital preferred by many people. Personnel’s training is alsoimportant in hospitals; enough equipment resources and improved organization systems lead tofavorable patients care. When the employees are skilled and well equipped with relevantknowledge then they are in a position to hand any patient-related case within their reach andproviding excellent service to the patient and family members (Shojania, 2017).
