THE SEXUAL REVOLUTION (EARLY 20THCENTURY)The sexual revolution started in several ways, depending on where you get your information. There is no doubt though, that this revolution initiated in the past 80 to 100 years when people started being more open about what was considered taboo. Many people talk about a sexual revolution in reference to rates of sexual intercourse before marriage.Many of our history books would lead us to believe that in the past, Americans were sexually chaste before marriage. If we read deeper into it though, we find that this is not exactly true (Greenberg, 2013).
