In today American society it is frown upon to see a women working the land and the men in the kitchen. I see more average day men out on the fields, working, harvesting the crop, and the women in the household preparing the harvested crop. This doesn’t truly matter to the Aztec Farmers. For the gender roles among Aztec farmers, mutualism is apart of their culture. Understanding the interaction between both genders and the plants that they depend on. 2) How does Evans use context to interpret the structures at the Aztec site of Cihuatecpan? Evans states multiple factors to interpret the structures at the Aztec site of Cihuatecpan. Cihuatecpan was on of the most important farming settlements in the Teotihuacan Valley. Maguey farming at Cihuatecpan was the main focus if the investigation of sap extraction and productivity to see how much calories they consumed and drink.
