Shanna Lee 4-25-16 WS 201 Journal 5This Women and Gender studies course has really affirmed why I chose this to be my minor. I loved the course, I loved everything we did in the class and outside of the class. I’ve always been interested in women’s history and struggles. This course helped me realize that I was most definitely a feminist. I’ve always thought I was and when younger thought that because I was a girl I was automatically a feminist, not knowing the real meaning. I now know that I am TRULY a feminist. I believe in rights and equality not for just women but for everyone, men, transgender, homosexual, etc. We are all people and no matter your race, sexuality, age, etc. you are entitled to everything a “normal” person is entitled too. This course also helped me and taught me to look at intersections. So many things come into play when people are being judged, characterized, and scrutinized. You usually just think it
