LAN REQUIREMENTS2 Project Goals Health Systems Inc. is expanding by building a new 150 bed maternity building. Currently the hospital does not have the networking capabilities to handle the work load they have and adding a new building will only increase to the daily caseload. One solution is to configure and install a new local area network (LAN). Below are some of the goals to achieve with the installation of a new LAN: Provide connectivity with the new maternity building to the rest of the hospital Design and construct a network around redundancy that should be implemented for facilitating the hospital’s needs and tasks. A network that is easy to use, manipulate, and troubleshoot. All policies should govern the network to keep it secure, efficient, and productive. Create and implement a disaster recovery plan to prepare for lost data, uncontrollable disasters, and hardware failure Project Requirements From a hardware standpoint 2 new physical servers will be installed, one will be the main server while the second one will remain on to serve as a backup server to the main.
