THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK 2 Counseling Theoretical Framework and Application Existential Theory The existential theory is the fundamental beliefs which human beings experience causing internal and external conflict in their interactions with others. These disputes are believed to be caused by a particular human existence. The existential theory recognizes specific primary factors such freedom of association, responsibility, death, isolation, and meaninglessness. A person suffering from this condition has a particular anxiety, which reduces a person's psychological, spiritual and social awareness (Boszormenyi-Nagy & Framo, 2013). The infection has long-term consequences to the person’s way of life. The above existential theory can be seen from The Case Study of Margarita , who was suffering from hunger and appeared to be not in love with her husband. Theoretical Analysis The theory relates to how human beings behave, express feeling, socialize and communicate with one another in the society. The existential philosophy makes individuals to believe that everything was created with a purpose and with a set of rules and commands in their operations. Concerning this set of regulations and controls, it is, therefore, evidence that there is the possibility of different expressions from people (Boszormenyi-Nagy, & Framo, 2013). Alignment with my Own Philosophy Concerning my philosophy, values and views of therapy process for the psychological victims have helped in restoring and upholding dignity to humanity in general. The process has saved lives of millions of the patients in many hospitals and within society. Speaking of saving lives, the rate of suicide missions have dropped tremendously after the adoption of the existential techniques (Fall, Holden, & Marquis, 2017). Therapy has also helped in solving marital issues in many families in the world today. Husbands and wives can live together in harmony in their families as a result of therapy exercises.
