Perna 1Josh Perna Ms. ShannonAP Lang. Period 414 November 2017LOC– Zakaria #2, 4, 7, 8, 10, 12 & ApplicationExploring the Text2. Zakaria goes from saying how hopeful and amazing America is from the viewpoint of most countries, and then goes into the realistic, actual circumstances. He explains that the mood in America was disconcerting and it was like India “was flipped upside down” and seemed to have a more positive attitude of its future. Later in paragraph six he explained that the reasoning for this terrible outlook of Americans was due to the current recession and that once it was over, and the economy started to climb again, America would assume it’s positive self.4. What Zakaria is intending to say by this claim is that large corporations aren’t outsourcing andgiving up on the American economy. These companies are just playing the game, finding the financial loop-holes, and doing what is best for the growth of their business. Zakaria says that theonly reason for these corporations to not fully abandon the U.S. economy is because of its centralimportance and financial location and value. Lastly, according to Zakaria, even with all of this in consideration, companies are still more likely to invest out of country.
