Why does Webster consider an equal distribution of landed property more important to freedom than liberty of the press, trial by jury, and other rights? Webster believes the people needed land to live in order to qualified for the others right. People who have a land can open the door for an equality opportunity and power. This people had the right to vote. So, to get a land is more difficult than to had a freedom. Webster said "that property is the basis of power;"(pg.115) and the symbol of our freedom. 2. Why does Webster believe the republican institutions of the United States will survive indefinitely? I'm think: It will survive because they had a strong form of government went they let the people to had a property, they give the power to those people to defends their property that
