Maryssa Dering Professor Korman Life Span Psychology DUE: 12/3/2015 #2: Adolescents grow increasingly sophisticated in their understanding of problems their ability to grasp abstract concepts and to think hypothetically, and their comprehension of the possibilities inherent in situations. They have a much higher intelligence and know about the world more too. Adolescents can be particularly introspective and self-conscious. They can judge when they have fully memorized the material considerably more accurately than when they were younger. Younger children are in a more ego-cententric mindset. #3: Some criticisms of Piaget’s approach to cognitive development would be that there were problems with his research methods. He based his observations and research off of his own three children and in addition, the other children in his research sample were al from well educated professionals of high socioeconomic status. Another criticism would be that there were problems with formal operations and he underestimated the children’s abilities.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
