Onyedinma 1 MaryAnne Onyedinma Mrs. Kinnett English I 3B 16 November 2017 Differences vs Similarities In the movie and the novel, there are many similarities and differences. The similarities in the film and the book, are the firemen go to the old lady’s house, Mildred still turns in Montag for having books, and the firemen go to Montag’s house. Three differences in the movie from the novel is that Clarisse is never missing, they leave out two essential characters Faber and the machinal hound, and the war is talked about once. There are many similarities and differences between the movie and the novel. The novel of Fahrenheit451 and the movie had some things in common with each other. The first similar element in both the film and the book is that the firemen go to the old lady’s house and she does not want to leave, so she lights her own home on fire. In both, she burns down her own home, but Montag wants her to go with them and is saying to the fireman that they need to force her out of the house but in the end, she wants to burn with her books. Then after this event, Montag realizes the brutality of this burning. The second similar thing is Mildred ,or Linda in the movie, still turns in Montag for having books.
