NEGATIVE IMPACT OF POLLUTION3The Negative Impact of Pollution on the EnvironmentPollution is still a very important issue the environment faces. It is contaminants in thenatural environment that can cause harmful change. These contaminants in the environment caninclude waste products, plastic bags, trash, metals and many other items. All these objects are lefton the ground or in the ocean, which then hurts plants and animals. Some animals do not knowbetter and can confuse waste products as food. When these animals eat the waste product theythought was food, the result of this severely affects their health and causes them to get very ill.Plants are also affected by trash because the rotten smell left by trash on the ground can affect aplant’s growth. The smell and filth left lying around damages the environment’s ability to nurtureand flourish. People throw their trash on the ground sometimes not knowing the consequences itleaves on the environment. This is referred to as littering; leaving rubbish lying about. Items thatshould be thrown away need to be placed in a trashcan of some-sort, and it should not be lyingon the ground or in the ocean. The outcome of trash being on the ground or in the ocean affectsthe environment to dramatically change in an unpleasant way. There are many reasons whypeople chose to litter. Littering is a serious issue on the environment and more people need toknow that this type of pollution can cause the environment to go really bad, really quick.Humans as well can be negatively affected by littering and pollution. Food that becomes wasteproducts, that don’t get thrown away into a trash bin can and are left lying around somewhere onthe ground can get moldy and the horrible stench it leaves can hurt an individual’s immunesystem. More people need to be educated on ways to prevent littering and pollution in theenvironment. All types of man-made pollution are not only destroying the planet but it is alsoimpacting the health of environment and humans.
