Organizational Structure Simulation This exercise examines the challenges of implementing major changes to the structure of an organization. The impact of the changes will affect all layers of management and associates within the business. The success of this transition will be determined by the ability of management to control the amount of needed specialized resources, advance training of existing technical support and the associates’ level of resistance to change. Recognizing and understanding these challenges and their impacts to the organization is the first step to accomplishing the overall organizational goals. Harold Redd, (CEO) made the bold decision to take Synergetic out of a lower level computer trading company into an innovating networking designing organization. Mr. Redd stressed two strategic decisions in the mandate: 1.Main focus is raising the networking solutions share of revenue from 20% to 80%.2.Quarterly growth-targets for revenue and measures of employee involvement, productivity and absenteeism to be based on industry benchmarks.Mr. Redd has full confidence in his team of officers to implement an effective strategy to get the company headed in the direction to meet the new goals of the company. Although each member of the management team is very competent in their individual areas of expertise, they are conflicted as to what method of restructuring should be used to get the desired results and cooperation of the employees.Each manager will have to effectively address their concerns and be able to make decisions that will obtain positive reactions.
