I believe that the HR practices are critical for Mars incorporated to maintain the culture and product quality and growth are that the incentives they have for their employees. Every employee is treated the same, to a certain extent. The turnover of non-sales force employees is 5%. The employees don’t have fancy work offices or special perks for managers. They are all expected to punch in, to include the company president. If they are late, then their pay will be docked 10%. The employees have a voice and they are expected to put themselves in the position of the consumer. They are all encouraged to speak up rather than ever product an inferior product or service. They also give employees the ability to experiment with ideas and take the time to develop talents for longer-term gains. 2. Could Mars be successful without its current HR practices? Explain? I do not believe Mars would be successful without their current HR practices, because I personally think they have a lot of incentives. They have a voice and everyone is all treated the same. They have an awesome bonus system that is rewarding for their hard work. An employee can earn between 10 to 20% of their salaries if their team performs well. If there was not as many incentives, then the employees would not have as much motivation and dedication to the company, because they are not being heard.
