Intro We are living in a crucial time in existence The way people live and act Going Global: The story of Globalization "The world is getting smaller" - not physically The worlds people are becoming interdependent and interconnected Fallacy - we think globalization is happening now, its been happening for at least 10,0000 years We all started in the Saharan desert in Africa Human curiosity caused them to travel Turned into diff races and stories We are living the end of globalization Villages interacting with other villages is globalization on a small scale Grew to city to city, empire to empire, colonization, sea routes, to telephone lines, to railways to global airlines Globalization accelerated in the last few decades Increasing interdependence and interconnection - due to technological innovations Telecommunications Internet True power is information dissemination/sharing knowledge We are now in the same sphere like many years ago in Africa
