Riley Johnson Econ 101 Dr. Love 11382498 To answer the first question I would say that the tax on whiskey was good thing. When we taxed the liquor tax the government saw a shift in profit from the tax from the over amount of demand. The tax was the only way to pay for the war that was imitate to the colonies. So I would disagree with the video and say that the tax’s was required, in order to win the war for freedom. Benefits principle is a theory of taxation of public funds. The real question was it right in the whiskey rebellion and I say no. To answer the second question I believe it was important to have the tax on the whiskey.
