Introduction to Terrorism: UNIT 3 RESEARCH TOPIC1Over centuries terrorism has evolved from methods utilized, viewpoints and ideology, and typology. For post 9/11 I selected the kidnapping and murder of Aldo Moro in 1978. The Italian Red Brigades captured and help hostage Aldo Moro, a key figure in negations with extending parliament majority. Moro was captured when the Red Brigades disguised as airline personnel, and ambushed him killing five of his body guards. Demands were made to release of certain inmates in exchange for the release of Moro. The Italian government refused to negotiate with the captors at which point Moro was executed to prevent discovery. After 9/11, the attack in 2015 by Hezbollah against Israeli soldiers occupying Shebaa farms was in response to a previous attack against a convoy of Hezbollah and Iranian officers on January 28, 2015. The Hezbollah terrorist group is an Islamic militant group founded back in 1985. The attack on the Israeli officers killed 2 and wounded 7 soldiers and officers.
