Unformatted text preview: Dear Mom, Hello again! I am writing you talk to you about the new things we have been learning in Spanish 506. The first thing I will discuss will be how to describe how someone is. Cmo es l? - How is he like? Cmo eres t? - How are you like? Cmo son ellos? - How are they like? The next thing we learned would have to be the colors. This is a layout of the colors. Some questions to be involved with the colors can be as followed: Cul es tu color favorito? Qu color te gusta ms? In addition, you can use the colors to describe your national flag. Qu color es la bandera? The colors are a very important part in the Spanish language. Well mom, the next thing we covered would be the parts of the body. El cuerpo humano English Spanish body el cuerpo skin la piel head la cabeza brain el cerebro hair el pelo, el cabello nose la nariz face la cara eyes los ojos ears las orejas mouth la boca lips los labios tongue la lengua teeth los dientes chin el mentn, la barbilla neck el cuello chest el pecho shoulder el hombro back la espalda arm el brazo elbow el codo hand la mano finger el dedo leg la pierna knee la rodilla foot el pie These are the most common parts of the human body. In addition, these can be useful when using descriptive sentences in Spanish. There are many example of this. For one, you could be saying that your knee is very big. EX: Mi rodilla es muy grande. EX: Las ojos de ellas son marrones. The next thing we covered was how to ask a certain question in Spanish. Listed below is a chart of the questions and its translation. Spanish English Cmo? How/ What? Por Qu? Why? De Dnde? From where? *De* Cundo? When? Quin (es)? Who? Qu? What? Dnde? Where? *En* Cul? Which? De qu? From what? Adnde? Where to? *voy( Cunto/a/(s)? How much? How many?...
