I hope you had a great Valentine’s Day! I am back to write you about what is new in Spanish! These last few weeks have been getting quite a bit more difficult. We have covered continued using the verb gustar. This time we will be talking about how to describe what we like or what they like. If you recall, the verb gustar is the verb used to discuss what you or someone else likes. For a refresh on the ways to use gustar, just remember that if you are talking about noun or infinitive use the form “GUSTA” and if you are talking about plural nouns use “GUSTAN.” Always remember to put “me” “te” or “le” to refer to who likes the items mentioned. The new part to the verb Gustar is just talking about who all like the item. If other people like the item then you will use “les” followed by gusta/an. If you are included in the group, you will say “we like” you will use “nos” followed by gusta/an. For example: Nos gusta la clase de espanol Les gusta bailar en fiestas Nos gustan computadoras The next thing we covered in Spanish is the present tense. It is also in plural forms. As you may recall, we conjugated the –ar, -er, -ir verbs using singular tense. The verbs can also be transcribed into plural forms. For example:
