Running head: HEAT EXCHANGER DESIGN 1 Sep 13, 2017 Abdulaziz Aljoudi 16970 Chandler Rd, East Lansing, MI 48823 [email protected] Dear professor Kamin, This report was written to analyze the project in detail in terms of designing and cost. This project was done by Abdulaziz Aljoudi, and it was officially assigned on Aug 31st and was completed on Sep 13th, 2017. This report focuses on the design and cost of adding heat exchanger on the feed stream to reduce the steam that is used to heat the column. This project will save a large amount of money for the company as it shows in the cost result. Thank you for reviewing this report, please let me know if you have any concerns. Sincerely, Abdulaziz Aljoudi Chemical engineering student Michigan State University

HEAT EXCHANGER DESIGN 4 Introduction The use of steam to heat up the column is too high, and it costs a lot of money. To solve this problem, this report shows how to install a heat exchanger into the system. Transfer of heat from one fluid to another is an important operation for most of the chemical industries. The most common application of heat transfer is in designing of heat transfer equipment for exchanging heat from one fluid to another fluid. Such devices for efficient transfer of heat are generally called Heat Exchanger. This project is about using waste water stream to increase the temperature of the feed by using a heat exchanger. This report basically describes the reason of

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
