ETHICS AND RESPONSIBILITY 2 Ethics and Responsibility Introduction Ethics and professional responsibility are fundamental issues in any business administration. Most administrators look at ethics in different ways. Some administrator may look at ethical responsibilities more precisely and technically as compared to others. Nevertheless, attempts to evaluate and state the ethical matters depends on the individual principles that a person values in solving ethical matters. Sometimes, that may depend on religious and philosophical traditions of the society (Cooper, 2012). People’s perceptions of whether doing one thing or the other are right depending on the situation, others expectations, time frame and whether an individual is face to face with the object of one's actions. Despite poor judgment, people ought to know what is wrong and what is right. To sum up the feelings that people may have, one can say that ethics is subjective. On a different note, an important question regarding ethics and responsibilities is whether a person can be ethical in one environment and unethical in another (Cooper, 2012). Turning on this article, much emphasis on the subject of ethics and responsibility will focus on Claude Fergusson article showing the relationship between ethics and professional responsibility. Balancing the Objectives and Subjective Aspects of Responsibility By its very nature, the public administrator’s role means focusing on one responsibility for the staff, the budgets as well as the outcomes of the company’s project. In both the nonprofit and the governmental organizations, it the responsibility of the administrator to take care of the most crucial areas of the organization.
