Hailey Christoph Mr. Baker English 15301 - Honors English III 17 August 2016 Profound Quote in My Ántonia In the novel, Jim reminisces about his childhood with Ántonia and about their time with one another. After not seeing Ántonia for a couple of years, Jim decides to visit after learning that she had a child. They talk very briefly as they slowly walk across the field. When it comes time for them to part, Jim says that he “could almost believe that a boy and girl ran along beside (him), as (their) shadows used to do, laughing and whispering to each other in the grass” (Book IV, page 241) as they walked away from each other. This shows how significant his memories, even the simple ones, of him and Ántonia are to him personally. The memories, to Jim, are extremely vivid and prove how much of an impact someone can have on another person.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
