Lab Report #1: General Lab Safety Name: Khristin Strickland Exercise 1: What Is It? Your lab kit contains special equipment that you are to use when performing experiments. Locate each of the items pictured below in your lab kit and place a check in the appropriate place once you find it. Also describe the function of each. Beaker 50 mL ____ 100 mL ____ Pipette ____ Test Tubes ____ Graduated cylinder 250 mL ____ 10 mL ____ 100 mL ____ Beaker - Used to stir, heat (if glass), and measure liquid volume in mL. Pipette - specially calibrated droppers that are used to distribute a precise amount of liquid. Test Tubes - Used to mix, heat, or store substances. Graduated Cylinder - Used to measure liquid volume.
