Introduction
My essay demonstrates the different concepts of how I have strategically
explained how I expect to be successful while being a student at Columbia Southern University.
Although I am an adult with an Attention Disorder it’s hard staying focused and completing
goals. I have written in detail my career goals, time management and working on better study
habits to remain successful

My Strategy for College Success
Making the decision to enter college was a personal goal for me. A 47-year-old single
mother of 4 daughters; three that are adults and living on their own and having a 15-year-old to
raise, I finally took the plunge encouraging myself to either do it now or never. I researched
several universities not sure which would be the best fit for me. Columbia Southern University
was my choice and although it gets very challenging with maintaining a fulltime job in the sales
industry and balancing school, I made a commitment to finish all the way through.
Career Goals
I have been in Account Manager Sales for over 15 years, and I can’t foresee myself being
in any other field but sales. Not having a degree or real training I’ve struggled tremendously. I
