The planning methods I would use to develop business/IT strategies and applications for my own business would be the scenario approach. I would choose this planning method because it provides a good and safe simulation of several scenarios that could happen in the “real world”. In the scenario approach, teams of managers and other planners participate in what management author Peter Senge calls microworld, or virtual world, exercises. A microworld is a simulation exercise that is a microcosm of the real world. In a microworld exercise, managers can safely create, experience, and evaluate a variety of scenarios of what might be happening, or what might happen in the real world (O’Brien & Marakas, 2013, p 480). This aspect of simulation with no risk is ideal to me and as a small business owner, I would rather focus on lowering costs and improving efficiency within my business. I would also position my business in the cost and efficiency improvement part of the matrix.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
