When working on a case it can be confusing when you can or can’t talk about a case. Where is the thin line as to what you can disclose? When information has been made public can you now talk about it? Under model rule 1.6 you may not disclose any information about the case without the clients’ information (ABA, 2017). So, say something has come out about the case and your client would like you to make a public statement correcting what was said. This is something that you may be able to do because your client gave you permission to set the record straight. If information comes out about the case, you are working on and that information is incorrect your first reaction would be to correct it right? This however isn’t your information to disclose to anyone. It is almost like someone asking you to keep a secret for them no matter what comes out you as the secret keeper is to keep it to yourself since it isn’t your information or story to tell anyone.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
