Hi everyone! My name is Brendan Kyek and I am taking this course as part of the Master of Science in Healthcare Administration program here at SNHU. I currently reside in Knoxville, TN with my wife and 3 children. I have worked in Emergency Services for the past 16 years now and currently serve as a Critical Care Paramedic on an ambulance. Interestingly enough, I am also a nursing student, along with my wife, currently attending our local community college and will graduate in May. Needless to say, life is jam packed for us right now but the payoff will be well worth it in the end. With that said, we are very passionate about healthcare and providing exceptional care to those lives we touch. When we think of the term “patient-centered care,” we generally think that this means that the patient should be at the forefront of the care being provided and based on the patient's wants and needs in collaboration with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
