1.1 What sort of a process is the process described above according to Porter’s value chain? The process described is a primary process of IsoSpaar. It is a statement of promise to provide service at a specific date, specific cost price within a specific period of time. 1.2 Who are the main internal and external stakeholders in this process? What are their respective interests? Why? Internal customers: Owner of IsoSpaar : They are interested in the profitability, continuity and effectiveness of the company, which translates to customer satisfaction through shorter quoting lead times with the same quality of the quote and their service and product. Receptionist : They are interested in the effectiveness and profitable of the company, and their prospective customers will pick up their phone for the first time without calling again. Planner : Their interest is to deal with planning the jobs after customer’s acceptance. Field Sales Representatives: Their interest is the profitability of the company and the quality of their job. Clerical Assistant: They are interest in the profitability of the company and effectiveness, continuity and accuracy of the previous activity from Field Sales Representative; therefore, their jobs depend on it. Assistant Sales Manager: They are interest in the effectiveness and accuracy of the previous activity from Clerical Assistants (all the information needed is fully provided) and the profitability from the company; therefore, their jobs depend on it. They want their quote to be accepted by customer. Senior Office Sales Representative: They are interest in the effectiveness and accuracy of the previous activity from Assistant Sales Manager (the quote price and cost are feasible and profitable for the company); therefore, their jobs depend on it. They want their quote to be accepted by customer.
