Experiments: 1.1 Time-Domain The filterfir.mat file contains the provided code for the function filterfir. Generally, this functions performed the summation function know as convolution. It takes in the two vectors h and x and starts by using the length function to obtain each vector s length then uses that data to calculate the length of the output vector. Then, the filterfir creates a vector of zeros which the output will be stored to. In MATLAB, performing summations is easy because of the use of loops. Filterfir takes advange of that to perform the weighted summation equation which is equivalent to the convolution of the two vectors. Finally, the function returns the output to the user. I then made two vectors according to the specifications in the lab manual. I used the code y=filterfir(x,avg10); to run the two vectors through my function. The variable y is assigned the output which is the convolution of the vectors x and avg10.
