You need to understand what a FireWire drive is and the way it works, as well as other drives associated with the Mac and the lab. ii. Know the distinctions between different types of audio file formats and how often they are used, e.g. if they’re commonly used or not. b. Plug-ins and Function Keys i. Know types, where they are, and how to control them. ii. While you will not be tested on every single function key and shortcut in ProTools, you should know the basics and what you have used/covered in the labs. c. Tracks i. You should know how to record a track, what kind of modes you can use and what they mean (e.g. the difference between destructive and non-destructive
