The Roosevelt: A romantic History 2The Roosevelt is an American documentary produced in the year 2014, written by Geoffrey C. Ward and directed by Ken Burns. The movie covers the life and moments of Roosevelt’s family together with that of Theodore Roosevelt who served as the twenty-sixth president of the United States of America and was a republican. The film also covers the lives of Franklin Roosevelt who served as the thirty-second president of the United States under the Democrats. He was a cousin to Theodore and Eleanor who was the longest serving first lady of the United States of America. The two presidents, Theodore and Franklin, with the help of the first lady influence the beginning of a new Democratic state where every individual has an equal chance in the US. The documentary, therefore, begins with the birth of Theodore in the year1858,and it closes with the death of Eleanor in the year 1962. This paper, therefore, will have an in-depth review of the Roosevelt: An Intimate History sourcing its main ideas from the main message brought out in the film, the guest commentators, and the main points of the film from itsbeginning to the end.
