CAMELS 2 Camels Cigarettes When you think of a cigarette ad, who do you think they would use to help promote? Celebrities, right? Correct. This Camels cigarette ad does use celebrities along with their personal opinions to why they like Camels. But another person is about to become the new face of Camels cigarettes. They used an unexpected but very credible source. Doctors. In Today’s day and age, the truth can be learned about cigarettes through anti-cigarette ads and commercials. But being that this is a vintage ad, having doctors promote your cigarette has to be one clever ad campaign. When I first saw this ad I did a double take. I couldn’t believe what I was reading. In big bold black text read “More Doctors smoke CAMELS than any other cigarette”. CAMELS’ text was all capitalized in red. This ad is showing you why Camels is a better cigarette company through its reasoning and creditable source. Doctors smoke Camels Along with the text on the ad, is a doctor holding a cigarette, with a pack also on his desk. Down at the bottom list 3 known celebrities. Maureen O’ Hara, Dick Haymes, and Ralph Bellamy. All with cigarettes, followed by a smiling face. Below each person, they have their own personal reason as to why they choose Camels. Underneath the doctor it gives a little history
