MATH 1414 Sections 1.6 Other Types of Equations Since there are many other type of equations we will break these down into four groups: Rational, root, rational exponent, quadratic like, and absolute value. Rational x is in the denominator; multiplying by the least common denominator will be needed to eliminate the denominators (nobody likes fractions anyway.)
